This appliqué project introduces the technique of using positive – negative appliqué. Many different combinations can be achieved by mixing the background rectangles and alternating the ovals and frames. In this project I have chosen to use two different printed backgrounds and just one exquisite fabric for the applique and 1st and 3rd border. Try using a mixture of fabrics for the applique or change the borders. Whatever you decide have fun.
