Description: Known for his many floral wall paper designs and textiles, it’s thought that William Morris first drew his inspiration from the garden at Red House, the home he built for his family early in has career. From Golden Lily to Jasmine, the prints selected for Morris Garden come from a twenty year span of Morris’s designs. Moda Fabrics have taken their inspiration from the Victorian & Albert’s Museum rich archives of William Morris’s work to create a unique collection. The Arts and Crafts ideals which inspired Morris promoted a return to traditional handicrafts and techniques, which perfectly fits with patchwork.
The 108″ Morris Garden backing fabrics are 2.74 metres wide. They would make perfect backing fabric for a William Morris Quilt or even a great background fabric for appliqué.
