This is a quilt for fabric lovers! Lucy Boston’s niece remembers, “I was in Liberty with Lucy in 1952, buying cottons with her characteristic authority and instant painter’s eye for what would do or would not do.. It was exhilarating half-hour, and left with the usual frisson of pleasurable guilt.
The pattern for this lovely patchwork was prepared with the gracious assistance of Diana Boston and was illustrated with photographs by Julia Hedgecoe.
